So I've got so much going on in my life right now, but it's all really not that much.
Still, it's enough for me to bitch and rant about, so I figured I would. Feel free to skip ahead, if you're so inclined - I doubt I'll even announce this on my facebook page.
They say that there's always someone more worse off. And that's true, I do believe that. But it's only when it's a friend, or someone you know that that comment really matters because, let's face it, you could be standing on a chair you're about to kick out from underneath you... an electrical cord wrapped around your neck, tied to the veranda beams... and you don't give a shit how some starving kid in Hati is doing because, right now, you've got enough to worry about.
I'm not suicidal, by the way... just trying to put things in perspective.
So, I've got a few things going on in my life, right now, and it's hard to focus enough time into finding priorities, and being able to focus my energies into those priorities so that I can then move on to something else.
First of all, I've got a promise to myself of a new, 'exciting' vehicle for the year(s) ahead. That's been a little stressfull trying to pick 'which car'. Then, my best mate tells me he's getting marries, I'm the best man, and the wedding is in Finland! So now I've got to save my pennies to get a flight to Finland AND get my passport.
So I figure I can't afford a car, so I eventually choose to get a bike, and now have to get my learners, then get my Provisional (which is a fucking nightmare as it is as the Queensland Transport website is about as clear as mud as to the actual process, and restrictions on a rider).
Then my mate tells me he's going to be a father!
Then I have to apply for a loan and go through the process of getting the loan, getting the VIN and Rego for the bike I want, getting that to insure the bike I don't have, getting the VIN, rego, and insurance details to the bank to get the cheque, to go and pay for the bike!
Then my mate tells me his fiancee is having twins.
And I'm part of the administration team for the biggest lazer skirmish event in the world.
And I've got work to do.
And I'm trying to complete... no, scratch that... trying to START a course in Business Sales which I'm so fucking behind at thanks to procrastination during the quite times, and too much work when I'm actually motivated...
And, on top of that, my fucking car breaks down and needs to be towed to a mechanic to be worked on - forcing me to take a day off work before I can find out what my next move is.
So, yeah, there are people in a much more worse off situation than me. I accept that.
But that still doesn't change the neck-deep shit I feel I'm in, right now.
A few public holidays lately have maybe helped a little, but when I get my bike (and license), I can tell you, I'm hitting the road getting the fuck outta dodge for the day because I'm in need of an escape and looking at my life from the outside for a couple of hours before I can proceed much further.
I've got tomorrow planned out somewhat - some chores set, and then it's back to panic stations, until I get the road and my freedom... then we'll see what's what.
