I'm a bit of an emotional wreck tonight.
I've put myself into this position so (really) I've no-one else to blame, but myself. Although, I could spin it to pin it on other people. And maybe that'll help me feel better about myself, rather than just living with the truth that it is, in fact, all me.
And as I was getting ready for bed, I knew that my mind wasn't ready to rest. Although I'm tired and didn't sleep well last night (and should really go to bed now - especially considering the few glasses of wine I've drunk tonight while watching Garden State), I know I'll not sleep, tonight. I'll just toss and turn with random shit running through my brain until early tomorrow morning, when I finally manage to fall asleep about 2 hours before my alarm is due to go off.
So, I figured that I may as well just sit here and blog about it - to get it out of my head, and to let me sleep.
But that got me thinking...
Where are the boundaries set for this blog.
I'm sure you're aware that I've been going pretty hard at this since I started it (yesterday!?), and most of it has been pretty vague. What little I've posted has been about things in my life: work; workmates; hobbies. Now I'm contemplating writing something a lot more personal. So, should I?
It's a tough question to answer.
I started this blog (I guess) to enable me to express myself while still staying disconnected to the people that may choose to torture their own sense of being by reading this drivel. And yet, I've invited people I know (and used to know) to visit and read, and maybe even interact.
So, how far should I go?
I don't think this is something I can, or should answer right now. And maybe it's not all my fault for this? If I'm going to blame others, I'll blame Garden State, and then I can sleep well in the fact that a good film can still move me to such an extent. And I can sleep with the comfort of knowing that, although I've probably said more than what I ever intended this blog to host, I've said nothing to incriminate me (though it's tempting).
But, still... whatever you make of this, I'm sure you'll agree that I'm a coward... hiding behind an alias; hiding behind the vagueness of my words.
But for those that may know me...
What's new?
